I’m a huge fan of not only setting goals and naming seasons of my life but also alliteration so I’m excited to let you all in on my Self Love September Journey!
I’ve been working this month on practicing self-care & loving my current life at this exact present moment.
I’ve been setting a workout schedule (and sticking to it!), fueling my body with nutritious and wholesome food, and working on positive affirmations and a general shift in positive thoughts & responses overall.
If you’ve read about “and then Monday”, you know this blog is for those of us who celebrate Friday nights, the weekends, and then Monday. No Monday morning dread or panic or “ugggghhhhh back to work” vibes here. We’re working on becoming the best versions of ourselves possible in all areas of our lives.
One way that I set up myself up for success on Monday mornings is by being deliberate about how I spend my Sundays.
True to this month’s self-love theme, I’ve gladly welcomed the addition of Sheet Mask Sundays into my Sunday routine. 🙂 I spend a little time each Sunday evening with a nice coffee or glass of wine and a podcast while I plan my meals for the week. I then head to a nice bubble bath complete with candles while listening to my yoga meditation radio station. This is my time to relax, decompress, and most recently I’ve started to add – a nice face mask. I’m all about the multitasking & spa at home experience over here!
I’m going to try a different face mask each Sunday for the month of September and will be sure to update you all weekly on my results/review!
Grace & Stella Anti Wrinkle & Energizing Facial Masks
brighten, moisturize, and hydrate
(6 masks – $13.25 with Amazon Prime)
Grace & Stella explain that these masks “work like an energy drink for your skin… it will brighten, moisturize, and hydrate your skin… they plump the skin with hydration and refine texture for softer, smoother, healthier-looking skin.”
This mask is definitely not your run-of-the-mill sheet mask; it’s a thicker gel like consistency. It fit my face alright, I had to keep my head tilted back in the bathtub, the steam and warm environment made it slip down occasionally if I was sitting straight up. I loved the glam feeling of putting on a gold face mask, super luxe. There’s a slight serum smell when using the mask but I’m pretty sure it’s the rose essential oil & it isn’t unpleasant. I left the mask on for the full 30 minutes and definitely noticed that my skin was plump and moisturized after I removed the mask.
I also hit the jackpot and received an offer to try the matching anti-wrinkle & energizing eye masks (12 pairs – $19.95) for free, I just had to pay for shipping! I LOVE these guys! I keep them in the fridge, wash my face and apply my rosehip oil, and then pop these guys on before heading out for my morning commute.
I would definitely recommend Grace & Stella products to my friends. Even though they’re the most expensive masks in my collection so far, I was really pleased with the results and loved the gold!
